I cleaned my desk this week. I rediscovered something while I was setting up my home office. And some stuff clicked in place about my philosophy of witchcraft.
The image shows a dancer, in a dark dress, with the text: “Be the witch of balance; marry your horrors and dreams.”
And to me, that’s what it’s all about. To create the life I want, I need to examine my fears and understand their basis, where they come from, and how to work with them to push myself. I am a dreamer, full of ideas and brightness, but I have spent so much of my life living in fear.
Until I started consciously working with my shadow, I couldn’t accept myself for who I am.
And without accepting myself for who I am? Quitting my day job to be a full time witch wouldn’t have been possible.
I talk about shadow work a lot, but without also working light – without also spinning dreams over my horrors – I wouldn’t have the courage necessary to delve into that darkness. As much as I can talk about the deep dark soul searching of the last year, without that ritual of lightness I wouldn’t have been able to see that a better life was possible.
Last summer, I shared a ritual I did for bringing in the light. That ritual I shared became the basis for my Lift Your Spirits Spell Kit.
It’s supposed to be getting lighter. The winter is supposed to be letting up. But we got snow and thunder this weekend, and almost everyone I know here in Minnesota is cranky and downtrodden.
On top of that, 2018 has been a particularly difficult year for a lot of my friends, and we could all do with a little lightness. This moment of prolonged shadow can be exhausting, but it also has deep wisdom for us. A wisdom that can’t be accessed unless we can find some ease and lightness.
Now, well after both spell kits have launched, I understand. Why Shadow Work, and why Lift Your Spirits?
Because you can’t have one without the other.
That’s why, for the rest of the month, I’m running a very special sale. Purchase both spell kits and get 10% off, and on top of that, I’ll throw in a mini reading about what to focus on right now.
Use offer code “equinox” to get 10% off for the rest of the month.
(And yes, I know it’s not literally the equinox – but the equinox is equal parts day and night, and so it feels very fitting indeed.)
If you don’t want a spell kit, but are looking for some extra guidance as we enter the season of growth, use code “grow” to get 10% off all tarot readings until the end of the month.
As long as we’re talking some nitty-gritty, I should let you know that my prices on email readings will be going up in May. I absolutely love doing email readings, but I also put a lot of time into them, and so I think it’s time to adjust the pricing a bit.
So head’s up! Take advantage of this sale and book a reading now while the prices are still lower!
I hope we all feel the sun on our shoulders soon, witchlings.
